III - Stages

TIC Americas has 3 stages:

  1. Business Training and Mentoring
  2. Semi-finals
  3. Finals

i. Business Training and Mentoring:

As part of the program, all registered participants will have access to online and onsite training opportunities. The online training opportunities are available on the Business Opportunity Online Training Camp (BOOT Camp) upon registration in the competition. This virtual tool is designed to help students and young entrepreneurs to apply key business skills that will allow them to create and grow their businesses to successfully excel in today’s global challenges.

ii. Semi-finals:

After a successful completion of the application process according to the terms and conditions established by this competition, all registered teams enter an online evaluation phase where an international panel of judges will evaluate the teams according to the evaluation criteria established by the competition.

Participating teams who completed all requirements and are selected for the next phase, are considered finalists and will be notified by the organizers. Additionally, these participants are eligible to receive feedback from the organizers to prepare for to the finals.

Due to the high number of participants, YABT and its partners will publicly announce the finalists through their official websites. Only finalists will be contacted by a YABT representative.

iii. Finals:

Finalists will be selected according to the highest rating received by the Evaluation Committee in the participating category.

TIC Americas Finalist Teams will pitch their business solution to an Evaluation Committee, following the Finals Presentation Structure of the Competition. Finalists also have the opportunity to showcase and promote their innovative solution in the TIC Americas Expo, where they will be provided with a booth to present their project to the public and may have access to media, investors, and public and private sector representatives.
